      Another vote for the DC Diaper Bank! They have family friendly volunteer hours, with a kids play area and even a bouncy seat to put your infant while you bundle diapers.

    We Are Family assembles and delivers grocery bags to seniors in the area; it’s a wonderful organization that encourages children participation.

    Iona Senior Services in Tenleytown does weekly Saturday meal deliveries in NW DC and is very child friendly. I know lots of people who bring their entire families along.

    Do you have one of those backpack-type things that holds a baby? I’d imagine you could do just about anything with the little one on your back, as long as you weren’t doing any heavy lifting.

    Some assisted living and nursing homes have programs where babies visit the residents.

    There are often little ones at Potomac Conservancy trash pickups at Fletcher’s. Especially, if you have a way to carry them.
