It’s something that would look more at home in Adams Morgan, but I like it.

I feel like it has this South Beach vibe to it now. The food here is highly underrated though.

South Beach sounds perfect right now with all of this rain…. Almost time to book a trip down there….

I have to disagree. These colors are really ugly.

I liked the old dark yellow. On this one, I like the blue, I like the yellow, and I like the red, but don’t really like them together. The blue kind of looks like painters tape and like they haven’t finished painting. They should probably switch the red to a more vibrant color – maybe a deep teal or orange?

    • Bobert

The blue they chose is far too saturated to work well with the other colors.

      • Hill Denizen

I agree. I’m just thinking if they want to go with a more vibrant, Spanish colonial style, look, it makes the most sense to change the brownish red. They either change that or they change the blue, but as it is the blue, while it’s a pretty color on its own doesn’t work.

The blue doesn’t really go and I’m not a fan of brown and yellow. Thumbs down for this iteration.

  • MadMax

Oh my god that’s hideous, what the hell are they thinking? The previous iteration was nice, this looks like they just took all the discount “bad mix” cans from Home Depot.

I’ve never been to Miami but this makes me think of Miami. Also makes me think of a roadside cafe out in the countryside somewhere. In either case, it reminds me of not-DC so I’m going to say I like it.

    • Hill Denizen

Miami native here, and I’d agree except for that red. Either the red has to go or the blue has to go, but as is they’re totally clashing, and not in a tacky-fabulous Miami sort of way.

They saw all of the success that Colada Shop is having and figured they better follow suit.
