    This might be a dumb question, but he died quite a while ago. Why hasn’t he been buried sooner?

      In addition to that, unless pressed to do so, ANC can only handle 8 Full Honor Funerals a day due to the restraints caused by having to have a caisson for the funeral. Therefore, there is generally a delay, 2-3 months generally, between date of demise and date of interment. So, although Sen. Glenn’s family requested this specific date, most families have to wait a significant time for internment.
