“Brookland’s Finest Bar & Kitchen has introduced a Spring menu featuring new seasonal drinks and food items to highlight the best local, in-season ingredients. The menu, created by executive chef and co-owner Shannan Troncoso, includes a variety of new offerings, such as a Warm Spring Salad of red lentils, butter beans, morel mushrooms, sweet peas and zucchini topped with a warm vinaigrette; Vegan Carpaccio with heirloom tomatoes, cucumber, pea tendrils, almonds, and hibiscus vinaigrette; and Octopus Risotto with heirloom tomatoes, English peas and grilled lemon. Some highlights from the new Spring drink menu include the Spicy Situation made with chacho jalapeno infused Aguardiente with fresh lime juice; the Hail Mary made with choice of Bulleit Rye or Afrohead Rum, grapefruit juice, apricot syrup and rosemary; the Cool J, a cucumber infused Ivy City Gin cocktail with fresh lime and lemon juice; and a daily selection of Draught Cocktails.”
