Rosario’s facebook says:

Scheduled to open March, 2017

Rosario is the brain child of Chef Logan McGear inspired from his many years of working for his late mentor, Rosario Patti, a southern Italian chef.”

Chef Logan McGear is the chef at the excellent Smoke & Barrel BBQ joint located in the former Asylum space, also in Adams Morgan.

Toledo Lounge closed back in 2012 and was briefly replaced by Libertine. Stay tuned for an exact opening date:

RIP Libertine, my favorite AdMo bar for great cocktails

Excited for this. But hey- does anyone know what’s happening with Marble Alley, the cocktail bar from Trevor Frye that was supposed to open in the old Bardia’s space on 18th? They had a cocktail tasting preview in November but then radio silence. And it doesn’t look like there’s been any recent construction on the space. I’m hoping the plan is still in motion!

Oh man, I loved Libertine. RIP.

But I also love Smoke and Barrel, so I hope this place will be great!

Al Volo around the corner is phenomenal and Red, White, and Basil down the road is pretty good too, so hopefully this place will offer something new. Look forward to checking it out.

Glad to hear Red, White, and Basil is good. Unfortunately every time I pass it, it seems pretty empty so I’m not sure how long it will last. I’ll have to check it out!

Never went to Libertine, but I used to live around the corner and spend WAY too much time and money at Toledo Lounge. If I recall correctly, an old classmate’s wife was the part owner. Probably my favorite dive bar of all time (not the best, but my favorite).

Miss Toledo Lounge, and those late nights in my 20’s…

I hope it’s good. While I love the beer list and whiskey selection at Smoke & Barrel, their food is just okay. Can’t beat Taco Tuesdays, though.
