If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. Your photos will go into the queue (usually 2 weeks wait) and will be posted in the order I receive them. If you’ve already entered your pet and would like to do so again – that’s no problem – just space the entries out a bit. Please try to send horizontal photos 640×480 (medium size on your iphone) if possible. If you’re not using an iphone any size is fine.

Don’t normally do this but these are too great to pass up! Thanks to akung for sharing in the PoPville flickr pool:

“I found this cat last week in the Columbia Heights/Park View area. She is spayed but does not have a microchip. She is so sweet and I would love to reunite her with her family. Would you be able to post this? I am attaching a picture of her.

If anyone knows anything, they can contact Sarah at 919-616-6175.”

Don’t Alley Cat Allies have a catch-spay/neuter-release program for feral cats to keep the population down? Could be that’s she a feral cat, not a domestic cat that got loose.

If she had been spayed as part of a TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) program and returned to the street, she’d be eartipped. However, her left ear is intact.

Good to know. I didn’t know they did that.

I feel like that might be the cat that is on the missing posters outside of the shaw dog park. I will take a look when I take my dog tonight and report back if it is the same cat.

So. Much. Hair. Those dogs are great!
I hope the kitty is reunited with her humans soon. She’s very pretty.

Wow, fancy-pants puppies! They’re very cute (and clean!). Poor kitty, she’s very pretty, I hope she’s reunited with her family soon!

  • Thank you for taking in the lost cat. I hope the owners have already contacted the humane society – (with the silly new name I can never remember) and find you. But honestly, if it has been a week since you found her, the owners don’t care and might have turned her out. If you are unable to care for her (and no need to feel guilty!) just contact the humane society (or whatever the name is now) to pick her up. And please please don’t worry about her fate.
