Finally!! I’ve always wanted an “* Enclosed Off-Lease Dark Park!”

    • BigD

LOL. It’s a pay-as-you-go sensory deprivation chamber occasionally used by the CIA as a black site.

I took a tour of this building about a year ago. The pictures in the ad are from the staged model unit. The actual apartments do not look like that.

Sooooooooo are they better or worse in person?

  • c

We looked at this place too. The fees are astronomical– move in fees, per pet per month rent, pay for gas and trash and water, pay to reserve common spaces, pay to do freakin’ everything. It’s nice (not much character, as most new builds tend to lack), but in my mind it’s really not worth it.

I can understand charging for gas, as it’s commonly a separately metered utility, but water? And trash?? That really sounds like nickel-and-diming.

A lot of the new apartment buildings pull bs fees. It’s starting to get out of control. You should have one price you pay for rent and then your utilities you pay the utility company. Non-optional “amenity fees” are such bs. And I’ve heard of places having trash “valet” fees where they pick up your trash for you, but don’t give you an option to take it yourself. Just dumb.

      • anon

It is. And I don’t see why it should be legal. But it is common in newer buildings.

When I see daily free breakfast I think..nope! Don’t want to pay high fees so some cheapskate can stuff his / her bag full of muffins.

  • Elkhaert

That breakfast isn’t free, it costs about 900 bucks a month.

  • Elkhaert

Oh wow, just looked up reviews of the management. Looks like the company running this place is pretty predatory, and (if the reviews are true, which gotta take a grain of salt) seem to be doing some shady, possibly illegal stuff.

I would steer clear unless the rent was in the low 2000s. Not worth the risk, especially at that price.

  • jrr

I used to live in this building. “free breakfast” is usually a stale bagel, certainly not worth the astronomical rent. Not to mention they have crazy fees, and after a year will jack up your rent to push you out.

  • DJFinance

Looks like West Elm threw up in there.
