“Dear PoPville,

I saw this sign when I was walking around at lunch, corner of 1st Street and N Street NE. I haven’t heard anything about it yet, but I’m pretty excited for another Landmark!”

Sweet! We first spoke about this way back in 2013. Can almost taste it now!

hope this doesn’t affect the angelika up at union market too much — !

I thought the plan to build angelica above existing union market has been scratched or atleast put on hold.

If I’m not mistaken, the original plan to build the theater above the existing Union Market were scratched, but Edens still has plans to build a movie theater on another parcel.

Wow, and then the Alamo Cinema & Drafthouse planned for Edgewood/RI Ave…

      Yes indeed!

The economics of these theaters most likely comes to being able to sell booze. What are the odds that AMC or Regal pushes to be able to sell alcohol in DC (I think that AMC sells booze in Courthouse)?

The Georgetown AMC now sells booze and let’s you reserve your seat. Those are the biggest draw for me to Atlantic Plumbing Company. .

That and no loud, obnoxious theatergoes (yet). I believe the chinatown theatre may be moving to reserved seats as well.

        • If only they would stop searching bags, I might go back again….

Yea………… why wouldn’t it be ok to search a bag?

What does Winter 2018 actually mean? January 2018 or December 2018?
