From a press release:

The Shaw Bijou has opened its second floor bar for walk-ins. Thanks to an overwhelming response during its trial run inviting the public into part of its bar, chef Kwame Onwuachi and general manager Greg Vakiner decided to utilize the complete 40 seat space made up of bar seats, tables and a lounge area for the same purpose. This allows guests who may not be able to get reservations for the full tasting menu to still have an opportunity to experience Onwuachi’s unique dishes. Guests are welcome Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30 p.m. until midnight. They can enjoy custom made cocktails from bartender Ben Long, wine selections from sommelier David Blackburn and a variety of small plate options.

“Our focus has always been creating a restaurant that feels like attending a dinner party with your best friends,” said Onwuachi. “This new option for our bar is just another opportunity to extend that invitation into our home where people can come in, order a drink, bite to eat and enjoy each other’s company.”

Current bar menu options include*:

Carrots with pesto, peanuts and lime

Shrimp chips, avocado pistachio and black lime

Seared foie with lobster marmalade and charred pineapple

Roasted lamb head with m’semen bread, ahi amarillo and foie sauce

Roasted squab with red bean sofrito and pepper jus

Grouper stew with king crab sofrito toasted pepitas and crispy rice

Chocolate cake bites with whiskey sauce

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
