8th and Upshur St, NW
Rock Creek Church has been totally razed and is currently a big pit in the ground. I know there going to build something but it looks really sad right now. The brightest point is they saved the end row house on 8th that you spotlighted many moons ago as having been one of of the first row houses in that area. It seems that the new owners also acquired that building when they acquired the church but are keeping it.
They moved very quickly with the raze and cleanup. It was there two weeks ago. Last weekend. Everything is gone. I mean not even one brick. Supposedly the project is headed by ERB.”
