From a press release:

“Washington, D.C. chef and restaurateur Mike Isabella announces changes to the interior design and menu at his 14th Street Italian restaurant G, which include the addition of a 15-seat bar area, new cocktail program, extended service seven days a week from 11am-10pm, and delivery.

“We opened G as a sandwich shop by day and an Italian restaurant by night, but now we have moved to an all-day menu where guests can get a sandwich or a great bowl of pasta any time,” said Isabella. “As part of the design refresh we’ve added a full-service bar with fun new cocktails. G is really a neighborhood spot and our changes reflect how regulars want to eat and drink.”

Menu

Though G’s inventive sandwiches and classic Italian fare remain consistent, chef de cuisine Elliot Drew has updated the menu, making the full selection of sandwiches, antipasti and pastas available any time, day or night. This shift to an all-day menu is particularly a boon to lunchtime guests looking to tuck into a bowl of chef Drew’s masterful pasta, like this fall’s mushroom ravioli with Maitake and spiced pumpkin seeds, or those with a dinner craving for G’s wood-roasted spiced baby goat sandwich. Devotees of the cult-favorite Sunday Gravy menu can still look forward to their end-of-week family meal.

Also offered throughout lunch and dinner is a new section of focaccia flatbreads, like the meat gravy, which sports sausage, meatballs, ham, tomato and mozzarella, and the bianco, with grilled mushrooms, spinach and taleggio.

As an added convenience to neighborhood residents and workers, most menu items are now available for online ordering and local delivery.

Bar Program

A complement to G’s new full-service bar is a selection of bottled classic cocktails (Negroni, Manhattan and others), as well as signature drinks with an Italian slant. Expect to sip on the First & Last (Caorunn gin, coco nibs-infused Campari, Cinzano Rosso, Orange Indi Tonic) and Quirk on the Beach (Nonino amaro, Diplomatico Anejo rum, cardamom honey, lemon, prosecco).

Joining the expanded beverage offerings is a happy hour from 7-10pm, Sunday through Thursday featuring $5 beers, $6 by-the-glass wines, including Lambrusco, $7 cocktails and $5 bites, with selections like arancini, agradolce wings, burrata, charcuterie and meatball sliders. On Sundays throughout football season, both G and adjacent Kapnos serve up NFL happy hour specials whenever games are being played.

Design Refresh

Turning to the talented eye of D.C.-based designer and architect Kristina Krenshaw of 17/27 Design Studio, G transforms its former counter space into a full-service bar outfitted with nine high-top table seats and six bar stools. Floating wood bar shelves along the back wall house the bottled cocktails and rest atop black metal supports for a clean style and streamlined storage.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
