Your Afternoon Animal Fix

by Prince Of Petworth September 30, 2016 at 3:15 pm 11 Comments

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. Your photos will go into the queue (usually 2 weeks wait) and will be posted in the order I receive them. If you’ve already entered your pet and would like to do so again – that’s no problem – just space the entries out a bit. Please try to send horizontal photos 640×480 (medium size on your iphone) if possible. If you’re not using an iphone any size is fine.

“This is Milo, our 2-year old Border Terrier. We were kayaking out of Jack’s Boathouse in Georgetown when Milo had this “Titanic” moment.”

Such cute pups – and fish.

On another note – I am bemused over the fact that a West Virginia many was arrested and ordered held without bail for shooting a 14 point buck in the Palisades area. DC has no hunting season (’cause really?) and his gun wasn’t legal.

What is one of these is not like the others?

Yayyy rescue Westie, you are beautiful! And aryland Westie Rescue is wonderful!!

  • kanon

Awww, F. Stick is adorbs! I see the family resemblance. Milo is king of the world!

When our dog Max does what Milo is doing, that mean’s he’s gonna jump in.

  • jumpingjack

Yay for adopting a senior dog – she looks so happy! Is F. Stick seven in human years or goldfish years?

    • Sticks mom

Stick is 7 in human years! Moved to DC all the way from Kansas. He lives in a 55 gallon tank to which he credits his longevity.

      • jumpingjack

Wow, I had no idea goldfish had lifespans that long.

        • JoDa

My quick Google indicates that captive goldfish can live for *30* years if well cared for and in proper environs. I feel bad about the fish I felt good about keeping alive for 3-5 years, now!

    Coco looks happy.
    I like F. Stick’s face.
Milo has a sloth face! So cute!

Our Westie is 16, and still going strong with a spring in his step! Here’s hoping your new pup similarly has many solid years ahead in her new home!
