Your Afternoon Animal Fix

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. Your photos will go into the queue (usually 2 weeks wait) and will be posted in the order I receive them. If you’ve already entered your pet and would like to do so again – that’s no problem – just space the entries out a bit. Please try to send horizontal photos 640×480 (medium size on your iphone) if possible. If you’re not using an iphone any size is fine.

“The first one is of Lady Goldenpaw and Ghostface Koji from a couple years ago when they were in the Washingtonian for PoPville’s Animal Fix. The second is just of Koji. Unfortunately, Lady Goldenpaw passed earlier this year at 14. Koji is still holding on, but has recently lost his eyesight and has trouble walking very far. He’s a good boy. Koji is 17 ½ and now resides in Mt. Pleasant.”

“Pablo (of Bloomingdale) testing out the bed at a Motel 6 during an epic road trip this summer.”

“Charlotte the Pomeranian mix striking a regal pose in Eckington!”

PoPville’s AAF was featured in the Washingtonian? When was this??
I’ve been googling, but so far I can’t find it online.

It was from the summer of 2013 (June or July issue – can’t remember exactly). The cover was something like “Reasons to love DC”. My pup Penny is the doof in the lower right corner who is winking with her tongue out.

    Koji is beautiful.
Always love seeing Pablo, such cutie.
    Charlotte is so fluffy, love!

That has to be the nicest Motel 6 in the country from the pic. Pablo’s humans and I need to have a convo about decent pet-friendly hotels, it seems!

Looks nice, but was actually pretty crappy, I hate to say. :-/ Pablo was unimpressed.

  • Aw, much love for Ghostface Koji and Lady Goldenpaw from a fellow shiba owner. There’s just no other dog quite like ’em.

I imagine this song was playing when the photo of Pablo was taken: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqk7_BV8Izs
