From Boundary Stone:

“Wicked Weed DC Launch
September 16 @ 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm (beers on tap until they kick)

Wicked Weed is a small family run brewery out of Asheville North Carolina. Its brewery puts out some of the most sought after beers in the US. Up until this month they have not distributed to DC, that changed last week though and we are pumped to have them on! We will be pouring 10 of their rarest brews and funked sours on Friday starting at 1pm. We will also have one of the Brewmasters in house to answer any questions you may have.”

I went to the one at Churchkey last night. Ended up spending a little more than I expected, but it was damn fine beer, so you won’t hear any complaints from me.

Asheville ex-pat here! I can confirm their beer is legit delicious, amazing, and I can’t rave about the beer or the business enough. Seriously, everyone should go try some…and then be sad because you won’t be able to get in on the regular :( I’d highly recommend the Freak of Nature, Coolcumber, and Brettaberry especially! ENJOY!

My understanding is Premium now has DC distro rights and they will be here on the regular.

        Yep Premium is the distributor.

Another Asheville ex-pat here too! Agree with all of the above, and hope some more of the amazing breweries from NC make it up here!

Friday at 1?! Ughhh I’d love to go, but that’s not going to work.

    Really, 1pm?

  • Mug of Glop

I also had several at ChurchKey last night. Good beers across the entire spectrum of beer varieties. The barrel-aged Lunatic Blonde was the standout for me.

    • Tom

I loved me some Lunatic Blonde!

They are also having events at City Tap House and Churchkey. And probably other places too.

Been here since 1PM. I drink all the beer, sorry,

But for real, try the two sours – the amber is really funky,

the Imperial ipa and pumpkin are really easy to drink and the pale ale / gose are both lower abv and delicious
