New Gym Cut Seven coming to Logan: “You’ve Never Felt this Dead / Alive”

by Prince Of Petworth — September 26, 2016 at 11:10 am 16 Comments

11th and Rhode Island Ave, NW

Now if you do like Shake Shack… A reader reports:

“Looks like there’s a fancy looking gym coming to the Holm apartment building at 11th and Rhode Island.”

Cut Seven’s website says:

“Cut Seven is a sports conditioning experience driven by the motivation and camaraderie of a team. We focus on a different muscle group each day of the week, ensuring the variety necessary to deliver full-body results.”

Ed. Note: Helluva transformation at 11th and Rhode Island – remember the old Diamond Cab set up:

Can I wear my Vida tank top there?

  • Yawn

$179 a month. Between the overpriced gyms and barber shops I don’t even know where I live anymore.

  • samanda_bynes

is this the next evolution of crossfit people? is the world ready?

  • Rich

An ugly, cheaply constructed building and an overpriced gym based on “muscle group of the day” (which any good workout routine more or less does), progress, I guess.

    Dead on the inside, maybe?

    • Jerry Grundle

Logan Circle. Trendy condos, bars and restaurants on the outside. Dead on the inside.

Correction: New FITNESS FACILITY…coming to Logan. There is no such thing as a “gym” anymore. Don’t you know that?

    • KenyonDweller

      It’s not a gym. It’s not a fitness facility. It’s a “sports conditioning experience.”

Don’t get the hate… this was a decrepit corner that’s been all fixed up. It looks great.

    • Anony

Yea, but not a great building. It had a lot more potential. It’s got outdoor stairs, not great construction. Not inspiring. Still has vacancies. So much more could have been done.

      • tom

Yeah, the building is a big improvement and a missed opportunity in one.

  • AdMo

these guys are the real deal. You’d pay that much for personal training at any gym (on top of your monthly membership fee) so if that’s something you spend on it’s comparable if not better. excited to check it out.

  • anon

Too bad there’s never going to be a Rhode Island Ave streetcar to serve all these new buildings right on the avenue.

  • J

That’s not my preferred type of workout so I won’t join, but I can see this appealing to the Crossfit crowd.

For the record, Alex P (co-owner of that gym) teaches at Flywheel and is one of their best instructors.
