Your Afternoon Animal Fix

by Prince Of Petworth August 18, 2016 at 3:20 pm 16 Comments

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. Your photos will go into the queue (usually 2 weeks wait) and will be posted in the order I receive them. If you’ve already entered your pet and would like to do so again – that’s no problem – just space the entries out a bit. Please try to send horizontal photos 640×480 (medium size on your iphone) if possible. If you’re not using an iphone any size is fine.

dogs and cats

“Who says dogs and cats can’t be friends? These three are inseparable! Chloe, Oliver, and Sawyer from Shaw.”

“Donna Martin of Adams Morgan”

“I introduce Albert Crispus of LeDroit Park.

Also, perhaps we could discuss how neighbors often know your dog’s name, but not yours? :) ”

Ed. Note: Well if you had a face like that!!

That first pic is definitely a cat/dog swirl of furry contentment.

Haha – kids on my street used to say “hi (dog’s name), hi (dog’s name) owner
I don’t usually introduce myself unless I see someone walking their dog around the neighborhood a few times

      (In response to PoP’s question)

chloe oliver and sawyer napping together is true love.

Donna Martin is lovely as always.

Looking forward to seeing Albert around the neighborhood!

If I saw Scout’s mom or dad around Columbia Heights without their dog I wouldn’t recognize them. I’d happily walk a block out of my way to give Scout a pat. He’s the most cheerful dog in the neighborhood!

  • TMS

I’m one of those neighbors. I love dogs– people, not so much. ;)

Also, I love the fur pile! I keep saying I should get Miss Natasha (my cat) a dog, since she hates other cats, and pictures like the first one make me want to even more!

    • textdoc

I’ve thought about this too (getting a dog as a companion for my cat)… but I think it would be like having triplets to keep your first child company.

  • LittleBluePenguin

I can’t get over how adorable the first picture is! I want to cuddle with all those furry pals! Donna Martin is a picture of orange tabby cuteness! and I love that little pug!

    • LittleBluePenguin

grr, I meant to write “pup!” not pug, though he is a bit pug-faced!

  • Elvis’s Mom

    1. This first photo of Chloe, Oliver and Sawyer made my week.
    2. Donna Martin catuates! Donna Martin catuates!
    3. The adorable Albert Crispus simply cannot with this heat.

Also, I know many dogs’ names but few neighbors. I’m trying to get better at that, but often introduce myself by my dog’s name. Ahem.

  • textdoc

OMG — that dog/cat/cat cuddle puddle is too cute!! Bonus points for the kitties being pretty Siamese cats.

  • textdoc

Nice to see Donna Martin after an extended absence! (And she’s looking very well-groomed — no “futz futz” around her eyes!)

    • +1. I was about to go into Donna Martin withdrawal!

  • UStreeter

These are 5 adorable babies. I’m a frenchie fan, and A.C. has a face to die for. (…for which to die? whatevs)
But that dog-on-cat cuddle pile? Omg. Prob my fav animal fix ever.

Donna Martin is my favorite pet name of all Popville.
