“Songbyrd Record Café now offers high quality nitrogen infused cold brew and cold brew latte from Swings Coffee Roasters. Songbyrd is the first establishment in Adams Morgan to offer nitro cold brew, just in time for some of the summer’s hottest weather. On Adams Morgan Day Sunday September 11, Songbyrd will offer Kombucha and Nitro Cold Brew for sale on tap from their front patio.

Adding nitrogen to cold brew enhances the coffee’s flavor and adds a subtle sweetness. The cold brew coffee is treated with nitrogen under high pressure, then chilled in a keg and served on draught. The nitrogen infusion provides a velvety mouth feel. The tiny bubbles make the drink seem thicker as it goes down.

For the cold brew latte, nitrogen infused coffee is complemented by local organic milk from Trickling Springs Creamery and a hint of organic sugar.

For a less caffeinated experience, Songbyrd offers organic lemon ginger Kombucha on tap, made by Cascade Beverage. Adding nitrogen to Kombucha creates an initially mellow flavor experience, followed by a swift kick of ginger.

The Songbyrd Record Café features a full espresso bar and menu of casual eats, complete with tasty options for all types of eaters including vegetarian vegan, and gluten free. All coffee comes direct from Swings, which pairs well with a browse through curated vinyl stacks, where customers can purchase new and used LPs.”
