Your Afternoon Animal Fix

by Prince Of Petworth — June 20, 2016 at 3:20 pm 13 Comments

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. Your photos will go into the queue (usually 2 weeks wait) and will be posted in the order I receive them. If you’ve already entered your pet and would like to do so again – that’s no problem – just space the entries out a bit. Please try to send horizontal photos 640×480 (medium size on your iphone) if possible. If you’re not using an iphone any size is fine.

“I present to you, Osa. She’s 11 and lives in Takoma Park (DC side) with me. I found her during a hurricane in Georgia when she was 2 months old, and we’ve been best friends ever since. She loves hiking!”

The first thing I thought of seeing those cats (before I saw the comment) was to wonder what they were plotting or trying to cover up.

    • Looks like our boys when we put a goldfish in the tub for them to chase.

  • Excellent photos all around today!

Osa is absolutely beautiful! What a cheerful hiking companion! And Millie and Mac are a devious-looking duo! Chance looks like he realllllllly likes car rides!

  • I love Osa! She looks like a great hiking buddy.

I’ve employed the seatbelt-through-the-harness trick myself, but a few months ago bought something like this and I LOVE it. I attach it to a harness instead of a collar. When in the backseat (where my dog prefers to be), I can leave him enough slack that he can move around a little, and if in the front, can shorten it nicely. Since I don’t own my own car, I’ve used it in rentals ranging from Fords to Nissans (daily rentals, I know the rules about using Zipcar and keep him in his carrier) and the clip has worked in all.
