i am cautiously excited! been waiting on this one. good prices! DEFINITELY need more places for good dan dan in dc.

    • Tsar of Truxton

I haven’t had it, but the dan dan at Panda Gourmet is supposed to be really good. I had the Ma Po tofu (and Panda) for the first time Saturday, and it was yum.

      • It’s good. I prefer the one at Sichuan Pavilion or Great Wall though.

my 8th grade science teacher told us how a few of his scientist friends went on an expedition to the artic and during the trip they referred to something (I’ll leave that to you to figure out) left behind in the outhouse as the “tower of power.” I can’t not think of that when reading this post.

It must be said: I still miss Vegetate :-(

    I love Dr. Brown’s soda!

Just went and the food was very good. Owner was nice and obviously excited to be open finally (two years to build, no?). Prices are very reasonable and portions are solid. Calamari, Dan Dan and short ribs were our favorites.

  • Truxton Thomas

This is perfect. We need more good takeout and fast-casual in the area. Definitely checking it out.

  • Green Monster

Looking forward to checking it out. Definitely agree with Truxton T; we need more fast casual spots. Kudos for them finally completing the facade on the building too. I think the unfinished look was hurting the location for the last few concepts. That block of 9th is going to explode when they finish the last phase of the O Street market project too. I hope to have them around for a long time.

      +1 on all counts.
