Whoa, $2000/month for a pretty dated place, right on Connecticut and no w/d in unit? Pass.

I know, you could do a lot better than that… in Congress Heights.

    • Rich

Nice space, S/S fridge, not difficult to find parking on the side streets. Nice building–a friend owns there. Short walk to 2 metro stops. Restaurants, basic shopping nearby. A good deal.

      Looking to move from NYC.
What is with the preference for in unit w/d? Don’t they have wash n fold in DC? Do people paying 2k a month for a 1bdrm do laundry at home?

      • jumpingjack

There aren’t many wash and fold places in DC, and nowhere near the number there are in NYC. So it’s just not convenient to send your laundry out. And yes, people who pay $2k for a one bedroom do their own laundry here.

Great location and it may be relatively quiet given that it’s a garden view. But I hope you don’t ever need guest parking because you will never find it with the zoo there. Also, note to people listing your places: It does no service to any place, particularly slightly older apartments, to have so much clutter and not-awesome furniture in it. The photos don’t flatter the place, which has relatively okay bones (other than the kitchen).

Guessing it’s probably their tenants’ furniture/clutter and they are trying to rent it out asap to not miss out on rent, thus posting as is. If a tenant is not leaving by choice, of course they’re not going do their landlords any favors. Even if a tenant leaves by choice, they probably have other priorities with their time than trying to tidy up/change the furniture while they’re trying to move.

Except that you can tell, from the lack of leaves on trees in all outside shots (including the shot out the living room window of this unit), that these photos were taken several months ago at least.

Considering what people are paying to live in peoples basements in Trinidad, this is about the best rental deal I’ve seen in months.

Dead center between two metro stops (8 minute walk to either) and adjacent retail. Leafy neighborhood with next to zero crime. I would take it in a second if I was looking to rent a 1br in town

WOTP has a lot of good deals for apartments. I guess it’s because the area isn’t as hot among young people, and there are a lot of big buildings to drive up supply.

  • CP

The (four) free washers and dryers on each floor in this building are a very mixed blessing. Residents invite their friends to bring laundry, and their cleaning people bring basketfuls of their own families’ wash. Why not, when it’s free? The condo ought to install coin-operated (or smart card-operated) machines to limit abuse.
