Of course those potato chips and batteries have been on the shelves for weeks (months?) so they may be expired. :)

This really is a god send. Why hasn’t there been a pharmacy in Union Station for, oh, the last 20 to 30 years?!?

    • wobber

there has/was… it just wasn’t that good.

    • Hill Denizen

There used to be one in the basement. I think it was a People’s Drug or something. Easy to miss if you didn’t know it was there.

There used to be a Tschifey Pharmacy there and it was v good but alas… It closed. I am happy about Walgreens. Yay!

    • RV

There’s no pharmacy in this Walgreens. And no plans to open one. Unreal.

Any scuttlebutt on what’s going in the space next to the Walgreens? It’s been walled off since the Walgreens construction began.

  • Brooklyn Brawler

Any word if it’s open 24 hours?

    • Amanda

I heard from employees this morning that its hours will be 6:00 am – 10:00 pm.

      • Brooklyn Brawler

Was hoping it would be 24 hours especially after a weekend out drinking and catching metro home to union station. I would have so raised the snack food isle lol

Well I no longer have to load up snacks and drinks before traveling to nyc at home. Can now just pick it up from here!

When will we get a Walgreens on Georgia Ave? In regard to filling prescriptions I have found them to be light years ahead of any other pharm in the hood. Staff, technology, everything else.

  • SWF In search of pharmacy

I walk through union station every day from the Marc train and had no idea this was happening, nor did I know it is now open. This is FANTASTIC news and much needed!!! Why no fanfare or signs upstairs anywhere?! I don’t get it. This is going to be a huge draw for those of us that work nearby.
