From Larry’s Chili Dog to Some Serious Craft Classes – Holy Moly the Lemon Bowl has been Transformed

From an email:

“I recently opened a maker’s studio in Park View called The Lemon Bowl where people can take all sorts of creative workshops and expert-led DIYs.

We’re located in the space on Georgia Avenue that used to house the old Lemon Bowl Deli run by Mr. Larry. We loved the name so much we decided to keep it!

The Lemon Bowl was founded by three local makers: illustrator Kathryn Zaremba, fiber artist Linny Giffin and myself, Holley Simmons, a local terrarium teacher and the owner of Sill Life.

The three of us use the space to practice our individual crafts (I use it primarily to spill dirt everywhere, haha) and we also make the space available to the public for classes and events.

Coming up we have some really amazing programming:

A nude drawing class with food from the local chef behind PornBurger

A macrame weaving class led by Portland mega-star Emily Katz
An advanced embroidery class from a local artist Renata Ocamp
Block printing with Kathryn
Pom pom garlands with Linny
And of course terrarium classes
And seriously so much more. Our calendar has the most up-to-date line up of classes.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
