Your Afternoon Animal Fix

by Prince Of Petworth December 14, 2015 at 3:30 pm 10 Comments

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. Your photos will go into the queue (usually 2 weeks wait) and will be posted in the order I receive them. If you’ve already entered your pet and would like to do so again – that’s no problem – just space the entries out a bit. Please try to send horizontal photos 640×480 (medium size on your iphone) if possible. If you’re not using an iphone any size is fine.

“My Great Dane, Roux, hoping if he makes himself small enough he won’t get booted off the couch. He succeeded.”

    Roux being tiny is cute.
    Gizmo looks super soft.
    Ruby is beautiful.

OMG Gizmo is the cutest thing I have ever seen!!!!! She doesn’t look real she looks so perfect!

Roux all curled up is very cute! Gizmo-nee-Zoe is a cute little fluffball. Ruby looks elegant.

    I love them all!
Roux is so adorable! I have a soft spot for Great Danes.
Ruby looks so smart and noble.

  • Oh Gizmo(Zoe) is cute as ever – I miss her! But her mom Zena is just as beautiful, bunny-soft, totally friendly and available for adoption! Seriously, one of the nicest, sweetest cats I have ever met. Also, Gizmo’s foster brother Percy, a very handsome tuxedo. Here is Percy – http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/pet/5323083478.html
And more pictures of Zena – http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/pet/5324412864.html

    • Gizmo’s human

If I didn’t have another cat already at home, I would have taken Zena along with her baby in a heartbeat. Still kind of regretting that I didn’t, actually. But three cats = too many cats. 🙂
Zena’s a love, and whoever gets her will be very happy!

      • I totally understand the 2 cat limit! I’m drastically tempted to keep Zena myself, but it gets exponentially harder with cat sitters etc. for 3. I’m sure someone is going to recognize the beauty and adopt her soon!

This pic of Percy and another kitten “embracing” is awfully cute!

Off topic — Victoria, do you remember a Homeward Trails cat family consisting of three white cats (one of whom was deaf) and one striped orange cat? I’ve been searching fruitlessly for their old Petfinder listings. All I can find online is this, from before HT took them in:
      http://deafanimals.blogspot.com/2012/07/alexandria-va-4-cats-have-until-tuesday.html
      .
Maybe I am misremembering and it was some other rescue that took them in??

      • Sorry, 2012 is a long time ago, I wish I could help. Are you particularly interested in a deaf cat? The great part about working with a rescue group is that you can pretty much “place an order” for the kind of cat or kitten you want. (Active, quiet, good with kids, dogs, lap-sitter etc.)

Also, Homeward Trails just announced a great special promotion to get adult cats adopted before the holidays. You get to name your own price. Adoption fees are usually $125.00 for an adult fully vaccinated spay/neutered cat (which is much less than half what you would pay through a regular vet!)
