For Phish Fans Who Like to Drink Beer – Ocelot Brewing Co. Phish Phry Tonight at Black Squirrel

BS
2427 18th Street, NW

From an email:

“Ocelot! Ocelot! Where have you gone? To The Black Squirrel this Friday, December 11th, for an epic Ocelot Brewing Co. Phish Phry, of course.

Haven’t quite made the connection yet? The local Sterling, Va., brewery’s name pays homage to one of the great jam-bands, Phish. More specifically, Ocelot is the name of a Phish song and the logo is in the shape of a guitar pick.

Phish-heads may recognize the names of their beers as song lyrics, but to the rest of us, they are just really tasty suds. Some of the beers on tap for this event are:

· Sunnyside Dweller Pilsner
· Reissue: Ella APA
· Planets Align IPA
· From The Bottom IPL
· Plasticine Imperial Porter
· Stumbled Hoppy Red Ale

Ocelot is unique because it almost never brew the same beer twice. This unorthodox approach makes each beer a small-batch treasure. Ocelot’s own Curtis Griffin will be on-hand to talk beer and Phish.

Our chef plans to complement the fine suds with a southern-style phish phry featuring fried catfish, oysters, and shrimp, boardwalk fries, and hush puppies.

In the words of Phish— “I’m looking through, And it all would be, So crystal clear, If it wasn’t for the foam.”
