From an email:

The Jackson is a 7-unit building in Capitol Hill being delivered by the same architect and developer team behind the new Huntress Coal Oil building at 1225 10th Street, NW.

Renderings have been revealed for The Jackson – a new boutique condominium building in Capitol Hill, steps from the H Street Corridor. The Jackson provides the luxury of new construction quality while fitting within the neighborhood’s charm. The building features six large flats and a private carriage home, offering spacious living rooms open to the chef’s kitchens along with two bedrooms and den, custom designer bathrooms, tall ceilings, and private outdoor spaces. Delivery is expected in Fall 2015.”

Wait, Fall 2015? Is the building that far along?

  • Wow…the Google streetview for what was there before…

You’re not kidding. Was that even a house? It almost looks like it was for some (tiny) industrial use.

The car in that rendering is going to get a ticket for going the wrong way down a one way street.

Ha! I had the same thought. Without attention to basic details like that, I would worry about what other details were overlooked in construction.

The building is already up and brickwork is almost done. It looks good and actually fits with the neighborhood which is more than can be said about a lot of buildings going up in capitol hill.
