Holy Garden Haul Vol. 7

“My garden [Mt. Pleasant] is finally producing produce – peppers, edamame, lots of cucumbers, the last of the peas. And tomatoes! And bonus volunteer sunflowers. The Brandywine tomato deserved a photo of its own.”

If you have a great haul, beautiful tomato or something like that, send an email and a couple photos to princeofpetworth(at)gmail with your neighborhood and garden haul in the subject line and I’ll pick a few winners a week (free PoPville t-shirt or tote bag.)

Gorgeous! Love the variety–and the bounty of tomatoes.!

  • That is indeed quite a haul, well done.

Thanks Justin! (I can “like” my photos, right?)
I have a delightful overabundance so along with eating veggies with every meal I’ve gotten an early start on putting up the harvest (pickles, salsas, tomato sauce, etc)

      • I love the color of your tablecloth too, so summery and festive!

Is that tomato really the size of a dinner plate?!!!!! Wow! As someone who is at the level of lima bean seeds in a milk carton, I’m impressed!

    • MPinDC

It’s a lunch plate (7″) so the tomato is big but not gigantic!

Thanks for the clarification! I’m still impressed! And I got to savor ideas about how to cook a pumpkin-sized tomato!
