  • Is it normal for the AC to be at floor-level? It seems like it makes that space harder to use and wouldn’t circulate air well.

Other than that it seems like a fair price for the area. I wish I knew what ‘community’ it’s in.

In a building like this you should be very grateful they invested in a thru-wall sleeve for the AC. I will take it any day over a window unit.

Really depends on the unit. The common wall units often are inadequate and use a lot of power year round. I good window unit could cool the whole apt quite adequately unless it has an odd floor plan.

Love it. I wish I could break my lease and move here!

My boyfriend, dog, and I actually used to live in this unit. The AC units worked pretty well (there is also one in the bedroom). We only moved because we started grad school in another state. The building and unit were well maintained, the neighbors were quiet, I never saw a single bug, the apartment got great light, and the landlord and management were super responsive. We moved here from a group house on U Street and thought the neighborhood might be too quiet but we ended up loving it. There is enough to do within walking distance and the buses ran pretty frequently making trips to Admo, Dupont, and U st. easy enough. Just walking down the streets in the neighborhood was a frequent activity as the houses that way are gorgeous and we took our dog down the Glover-Archibold trail all the time. Overall, we thought this was a great deal last year and still do. :)
