    The heart of DC? Seriously?

  • bustyredhead

I swear I counted only four windows.

  • carlosthedwarf

A small 2-bedroom basement apartment in an inaccessible location, cheaply renovated, no dishwasher.

Not worth anything close to $1800 a month. $1400 to $1600, at most.

Don’t forget the terrible kitchen – just look where the stove is, around the corner from the counters, sink, and fridge. Also no vent for the stove, no upper cabinets, too-tall island, and apparently no counter space in the bathroom.

A mile walk to a metro station is hardly inaccessible.

There are other ways to get around this city other than metro, sheesh people. I live near here and have found it very, very easy to get where I need to go by bus. It would be perfect for one of the thousands of people who work at WHC.

I agree. I’m over a mile to both metro stations near my home but usually bus or walk everywhere I need to go. Unfortunately I see far too many people that think a place is too hard to reach unless they are under a half mile from a train station.

that is one interesting kitchen design

The kitchen is really lacking in cabinet space — notice that there are floor-level cabinets only, no upper-level ones.

That’s a nice block. Easy walking distance to Monroe Street Market stuff. Seeing as how it includes all utilities, cable, and wi-fi, I’d say good deal!

My favorite neighborhood name in DC. So f’ing haaaaard.

It’s really awkward that there are no upper cabinets, or even shelves. The stove is also really oddly placed.
