Creme Reopening on 14th Street in June – Chicken and Waffles return for Brunch

2438 14th Street, NW

The owner of Creme sends the good word:

“I know many people were shocked with the abrupt closing of Creme on U St, but never fear, I wanted to be the first to let you know that Creme Restaurant & Bar, one of DC’s famous brunches, is reopening in June!

And they tease us on their facebook page:

“Anyone missing Creme’s famous chicken & waffles? They’ll both be back on our brunch menu with a few more tasty surprises this summer!”

2438 14th Street, NW is one of the retail spaces in the Capitol View building that is located close to the corner of 14th and Chapin St, NW.

Cant wait for this place to put chapin street on the map!!! Loved their chicken and waffles that one time i went down on u street. Very much looking forward to rolling out of bed in sweat pants putting my name down and then walking 50 feet to my apartment then going back and destroying chicken and waffles regularly

We can’t wait to have you!

  • Gotta love it when restaurants remind you that they’re famous.

Also be sure to follow us on Twitter via @Creme14th! We’re so excited to finally to reopen!

  • I hope they get all new staff. The last two times I went, the service was horribly slow and the staff was cold and disinterested.

I’ve actually never been to Creme for brunch. Used to go there regularly for dinner with my ex. I miss the vegetarian meal they used to do. You would tell the waiter what veggies you really loved or really hated, and the chef would just whip up some off-menu entree. I wasn’t even vegetarian, but I loved this. In fact, I remember the night the waiter accidentally threw my leftovers away instead of boxing them up as I had asked. I was so bitter! Anyway, bring back to the vegetarian meal!
