Tootsie – Rural Dog Rescue
Tootsie is an adult dachshund from Rural Dog Rescue. Before a breeder dumped her and many other dachshunds at a high kill shelter, Tootsie’s ears were ‘pig-notched’ for identification in the breeding kennel. Despite her former life, she is very well socialized and a complete love bug! She loves to stay with her people and is doing very well with housetraining. Here is a video from the day she and some friends arrived. If you would like to adopt Tootsie, or any of our animals, please send the adoption application here. To foster one of our pups, please send the foster application here. You can meet our pups at our adoption events held every Saturday at Howl to the Chief from noon until 3pm.
Domino – Homeward Trails Animal Rescue
Domino is an adorable tuxedo cat from Homeward Trails Animal Rescue that is less than a year old. Domino is playful, curious, and easy. Though she does fine on her own, if you already have a cat who might like a friend, she would like to have a feline pal too! If you think Domino would be a good fit for your home, please fill out our cat adoption questionnaire and email it here. She is often at PetMAC DC, or you can also meet some of our adoptable animals at one of our events!
More great pets after the jump.
Elliot – Lucky Dog Animal Rescue
Elliot is an eleven-month old border collie/shepherd mix from Lucky Dog Animal Rescue. This handsome little fella is a super-smart pup that has already learned 10 commands! Beyond his intellect, he is an awesome dog that will provide ample joy and love to any home that adopts him. He loves his people, sticks, and is quite the goofball. And, bonus – he gets along with other pups too. If you think Elliot would be a good forever fit for your home, please contact Shaterri. We have many adoptable animals, so feel free come check us out at one of our events!
Abigail – Tails High, Inc.
Abigail is a beautiful young cat from Tails High, Inc. Abigail is a momma cat whose kitten has since found a home. However, she has proven that she is quite the kitten at heart, happily playing with toys and curiously exploring her space. She is a happy, active cat that loves the bustle and activity of a full household – she would welcome kids, other cats, and perhaps a dog or two! If you would like to adopt Abigail, please complete our adoption application on our website. You can also visit us at one of our upcoming events!
Fran – City Dogs Rescue
Fran is a 35-lb, one year-old whippet/shepherd mix from City Dogs Rescue. Fran is a sweet and loyal companion. She can be shy with new people at first, so she would be best for a home without small children. But, once she warms up, she is quite the affectionate snuggler. She loves to go on walks and play, but she’s also very happy to relax and watch TV with you. You can apply to adopt Fran or any of our available dogs on our adoption page, apply to foster one of our pups here, or meet some of our pups at one of our upcoming events!
Cosmo – Washington Humane Society
Cosmo is a one-year old, 11 lb, grey tabby cat from Washington Humane Society. Cosmo is an out-of-this-world playful kitty cat that loves to entertain himself (and you). He dances to kitty wands as if no one were watching and spends time refining his kitty cat tricks. Though more of an independent little guy, he has plenty of love to give! To express interest in adopting Cosmo and learn about the process, please email here. You can meet Cosmo at the Georgia Adoption Center, or you can meet some of our adoptable animals at one of our upcoming events!
