Update on Nando’s revamp at 819 7th Street, NW from from an email:

“You can see our new booth seating, Freestyle machines, and South African art — among other new touches. And most importantly: We’re celebrating the restaurant’s re-opening with all-day happy hour today! Including $5.95 sangria pitchers and beers starting from $2.50.”

    What’s a freestyle machine?

    • saf

      A wacky pop machine.

    • I think it’s one of those things where you can pick Coke, Mountain Dew, etc and it has like 10 flavors of each for you to mix.

  • cola

The coke machines with touch screens that let you make 29389238239 flavor variations.

    Was that really necessary?

    Big fan of Nando’s.

Don’t like that some of the chairs by the wall don’t have backs.

  • kken

$6 pitchers of sangria? depending on their size, dangerous!

I tried to like Nando’s but it’s about 20% too expensive for what you get. I like the atmosphere, but in the end it’s just chicken.

I love Nandos!!! I think one should go into Petworth Place…it’s a good bridge place for the differing demographics of the neighborhood.
