“Dear PoPville,

Spotted near Union Station this morning… I think you have to call him and see if he found her!”

I called George this morning and sadly Lindsey has not yet made the call. George says he’s had a crush on Lindsey for two years and sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do to make things happen. He sounded like a nice guy and certainly very sincere. So Lindsey from North Carolina – give George a call!

Ed. Note: If Lindsey or a friend of hers happens to see this you can email me at princeofpetworth(at)gmail for George’s number if you have not seen the sign in person.

George should hook up with Courtney in Old Town. They both sound sorta desperate for some holiday lovin’ :-/

That story sounds fake. Old Town Alexandria doesn’t support establishments with a DJ and a hundred people dancing. You’d be hard pressed to find anything besides very posh restaurants open past 8pm.

Actually, the Light Horse often has DJ’s and is always open past 8 p.m. You must be new to the area.

I used to live there. Maybe things have changed a lot since then, but was pretty stuffy with absolutely no nightlife. That’s good that things are loosening up a little.

I spotted this sign all the way down in Waterfront. This guy really made his way around!

I don’t want to rain on this Rom-Com fantasy parade, but what if there’s a reason Lindsey has refused George’s advances for two years? You have to wonder about someone making such a desperate move to get in touch with the object of their affections. Stalkers have gone to similar lengths to harass their victims, even while seeming like “nice guys”. Just sayin…

Now I’m wondering: would this be considered a violation of a restraining order?

      • Allison

Depends on the order. Presumably most have “no contact,” and I think this would be a form of contact.

      +1

I read it as he met her only once two years ago, presumably at Union Station, but didn’t get her number, and has regretted it ever since.

I had that exact thought. If he’s known her for two years and he doesn’t have her number yet, there’s probably a reason.

      • Nah I didn’t explain it well. I think he just ran into her again recently.

I don’t think the smart money is on George escaping the friend/acquaintance zone.
