If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share please shoot me an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. Your photos will go into the queue (usually 3-4 weeks wait) and will be posted in the order I receive them. If you’ve already entered your pet and would like to do so again – that’s no problem – just space the entries out a bit.

“We just lost our girl Meow Meow to a sudden heart attack. She was 12 years old, my girlfriend adopted her off the street about 5 years ago, and I met her 3 years after that. Her last moments were running around the house playing with her favorite string, then she went to sit in her favorite chair, and literally seconds later she was gone.”

Lewis and Sputnik

“our dog, lewis, and his brother, sputnik.”

“Patty and Selma in Park View. Patty is just a tiny bit passive aggressive.”

My condolences to Meow Meow’s parents, she was a beautiful cat.

Love the cat/dog cuddle! And Patty, definitely in charge.

I’m so sorry about Meow Meow. It sounds like she was loving life right until the end, was healthy even at 12, and got to be with her people in her last moments. What more could a kitty want?

+1. My condolences, and I’m glad to hear that she spent her last moments enjoying her favorite things.

Sorry for your loss of meow meow. I hope to be so lucky when I depart this mortal coil. Valentine’s day go to the Cat-a-paloza at the Washington Animal Rescue League. Mimosas and cake and kitty cats galore.

  • So sorry about Meow Meow! What a lovely life you gave her. My very old cat is failing and I’m hoping she goes so easily in the next couple of days.

I’m so sorry. I hope you get a fantastic snuggle in.

  • Thanks everyone for the very kind words. She was a truly special girl and things definitely aren’t the same without her.
