Foraged Cask Night

This an official Eat Local Week event highlighting ingredients that could be foraged in our local community. Eight breweries have prepared casks that are conditioned with ingredients that consumers could forage for in and around the nation’s capital.

Eat Local Week is an initiative of Think Local First DC, a non-profit leading the local movement in DC with advocacy, promotion and education for independently owned businesses.

The casks will be out on the patio and will all be $5 a pour while they last. All cask proceeds go to Think Local First and cask beer will be available for purchase on-site, but we recommend pre-purchasing tickets here to guarantee your opportunity to try what you want.

Additionally, Executive Chef David Shewmaker will prepare special dishes featuring local produce that will also benefit TLF and will be available to the general public. The eight participating breweries will also have three draft lines each inside where all draft beers will also be $5 all night. The breweries:

3 Stars Brewing Company
Chocolate City Beer
DC Brau Brewing Company
Flying Dog Brewery
Franklins Restaurant, Brewery & General Store
