The Gangplank Marina
600 Water St SW
Saturday, October 20th, 2012
10:00am – 4:00pm | $20

Tour the floating residences of DC’s waterfront!

Do you love boats and water? Ever wonder what it’s like to live on a boat right in the heart of DC? Now is your chance to find out!

Tour the floating homes of Southwest DC: Join us on Saturday October 20th between 10 AM and 4 PM and take a peek inside the largest liveaboard community on the entire East Coast! For just $20 you can visit 20 or so of the houseboats, housebarges, cabin cruisers, and sailboats that people call home. Tickets are available at www.dchouseboat.org.

And if you can’t wait to get out on the open water, you have the option of adding a 60-minute Potomac cruise with DC Harbor Cruises, for just $15.

If you’re one of our neighbors in the 20024 zip code, be sure to take advantage of our neighbor discount price — tour tickets are just $15 if you live in 20024.

Proceeds from the tour will go to support local charities in Southwest. Tickets are limited and are expected to sell out, so don’t delay! Visit www.dchouseboat.org for more information.

See all of tonight’s and the week’s events here.  To add your event, click the events tab up top and then click “add an event”.  You can add concerts, museum/gallery exhibits, fundraisers, sporting events, bike rides etc. You can add anything you think will be of interest to PoPville.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
