8:30pm – 12:30am | FREE!Andrea Pais is a singer-songwriter and pianist living in the Washington, DC area. A classically trained pianist, she started playing the piano at the age of eight. Growing up, she listened to jazz and soul singers such as Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James and Stevie Wonder, as introduced to her by her dad. During her teenage years she was strongly influenced by R&B superstars Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. At the age of fourteen, she wrote her first song Hold Me, inspired by Mariah Careys album Music Box which she couldnt stop listening to. Over the years, Andreas musical influences have become increasingly eclectic, blending soul, blues and rock elements into a unique and commanding sound.
