If you have any fun or interesting animal/pet photos please shoot me an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and what neighborhood you’re from or upload to the PoPville flickr pool with your pets name and neighborhood. If you’ve already entered your pet and would like to do so again – that’s no problem – just space the entries out a bit.

“Henry James of Dupont Circle”

“Here’s my bunny, Mrs. Crackers, relaxing in Hill East!”

“Jet with her “cousin” Loki, in College Park.”

I love that paw thing you are doing, “Sir” Henry James of Dupont Circle. Heh, yes, I knighted you. I think Loki might also be doing that paw thing.

Absolutely love the name Mrs. Crackers for your bunny. How funny.

    • Totally agree on the paw thing. Love that about cats.

I love this rabbit too. We used to have rabbits, but kept them outside in a cage. How do you keep them from pooping all over the house?

Most indoor rabbits train themselves to use a litter box. Mine all did!

        • Wow, cool. We didn’t know that in the 70s.

    I love Mrs. Crackers, too!

What’s the inspiration for that name? And is there a Mr. Crackers?

    • Annonny

I just realized the reson I love this name so much is that as a kid I wanted to have a duck and name it Mr. Quackers. LOL, I’m so easily amused.

Yes, what a cute little guy. We’ve had bunnies all my life growing up!

hi guys! I’m Mrs Crackers’ mama. house bunnies make amazing pets. Mrs Crackers (who is a male bunny…) litter trained himself, as most bunnies do. they really only go to the bathroom in one spot.

he eats pellets, hay, cilantro, basil, dill, parsley, mint, dandelion greens, the leafy parts of celery and carrots, and for treats he loves banana, apple, carrot, and peach. and potato chips, but that was an accident.

he’s got a huge personality. he follows me around my apartment and sits next to the bed when I sleep, then hops up on to wake me up. he’s the best.

His name, Mrs. Crackers, is even better, knowing that he is a male.

You sound like a great bunny mom! I volunteer with the local House Rabbit Society chapter (http://rabbitsinthehouse.org/) in case Mrs. Crackers ever wants a bunny friend :-)

For the rabbit-curious out there, the national House Rabbit Society page has lots of useful educational materials. http://rabbit.org/ is the main page

  • I loooooove Mrs. Crackers…but she looks dead!

Glad I wasn’t the only one who thought Mrs. Crackers looks like an ex-rabbit in this picture.

Henry James is cool. Jet and Loki are super-cute.

Thanks! I wish I had a photo that showed how huge Loki is! He’s part Great Dane.

I think that Henry cat must be the cutest cat ever. He must have wonderful parents.
