    Ha ha realtor lie.

The “2nd bedroom” is the concrete floored open room that has the patio door, and zero walls. Someone may use it as a sleeping area… but it has zero privacy, and is not a bedroom at all.

so are 1BR lofts really 0BRs because they don’t offer absolute privacy? this doesn’t look like a place for two people who just met on craigslist to live in…

If an apt/condo/coop has zero walls between the living area and the bedroom area, then it is a studio not a 1BR. It matters not whether it is lofted or one level.

    • I’m not surprised that the photos shown the supposed “second bedroom” set up as a media room.

Meh. Too expensive. Not a good deal.

  • If it is only one BR, thats expensive, but otherwise, have a buddy a couple of blocks who pays $2800 for a 2br, and this place sounds way nicer.

If that’s really 1300 sq. feet (and the terrace sq footage isn’t included in that number) in a luxury apartment in adams morgan, that’s a really good deal. most places like that run >$3300 in the area, or >$3500 in logan and dupont. too bad the pictures don’t do a good job of selling the place at all–looks drab and unlit.

  • If I’m spending $3k+ on a penthouse, I’d go for the last one left here…

Wow, those Foundry Lofts are the sweetest apartments I’ve seen in DC. Of course, you have to live in a neighborhood which has, outside of baseball season, nowhere to eat, socialize, or shop, at least as of yet. Seems like a better investment than a short-term living space.

As for this unit, I agree with others, my initial reaction was, wow, sweet deal, because a two bedroom with nice outdoor space in Columbia Heights in a brand new building would rent for the low 3000’s, and this is a pricier neighborhood. Then when you see it is really a one bedroom with extra living space (not a true second bedroom that anyone would want to regularly sleep in), the price seems about right.

  • Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overpriced.

  • The rent. It is too damned high.

I think the market price for this place is $2400. This would be a great place for a couple who want to use that loft as an optional guest room on occasion but as other commenters have noted that’s just not a real 2nd bedroom.
