“We helped our neighbor do a wall similar to the one we have. It was a group effort and brought the neighbors together.”
I really like how this new one turned out on the 1400 block of W St, NW. Previously this was a vacant lot.

I’ve often wondered about this building. $2,800 + utilities a good roommate option for this 2 bed/1 bath?

Can your readers recommend where to buy a decent, not insanely expensive mattress and box spring in DC? (I have a wooden bed frame I’d like to keep, so I’m not looking at futons- though I will be sleeping on an air mattress until I figure this out.) I’m too leery of bed bugs to go the CL/freecycle route, and I mostly hear bad stuff about mattress stores (like Sleepy’s, etc.). How do people feel about the cheaper options at Ikea – doable? Any other good options out there?”
Along the same lines, I’ve always wondered if it is worth waiting for those advertised sales like “this weekend only” that I often see around President Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day etc.?
