Hi PoPville! My name is Julia and I have been in DC for about five years now. The singles scene in DC has certainly been a challenge (ok let’s be honest its abysmal most of the time unless you’re a horny intern)… so here I am.

I am originally from Wrightsville Beach and a lover of all things south eastern North Carolina.. boating, beach bocce and drinking cold beers while boating or playing beach bocce are probably three of my favorite life activities. I am outgoing and I love to be outdoors. I think one of DC’s greatest features is its close proximity to some of the best hikes and running trails I have ever been on. I love being in the sun, but when the cold DC winters descend upon us you can find me drinking happy hour red wine at Proof, cheering for the Tarheels (no Duke graduates/fans need submit responses) and the Redskins (although that has proven to be pretty abysmal too), and praying that the 2 Amy’s line isn’t so long that I have to stand outside to wait. I love exploring all of DC’s neighborhoods, old and new, and I appreciate you for always keeping me in the loop. There is always something new to see and do in this awesome city and I think it would be even better to share those experiences with someone else!

Photos after the jump.
