If you have any fun or interesting animal/pet photos please shoot me an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say what neighborhood you’re from or upload to the PoPville flickr pool with your pets name and neighborhood. I can’t guarantee I’ll get them all posted but I’ll do my best.

“Great Watcher of the Squirrels – Keagan, the Great Dane from Adams Morgan”

“My new housemates! They live in the purslane hanging from my front porch in Pleasant Plains. The babies are a day or two old, and Momma has been there for a couple of weeks, panting in the late afternoon heat.”

“Colby in Columbia Heights knows he wants the fish, but doesn’t know why, or how to get it.”

    aww kitty tongues!

That kitty knows exactly how to get the fish. He’s just waiting ’til your back is turned. Trust me on this.

    Colby: “Soon…”

I had a nest overhanging my front door and boy did those babies make a lot of noise waiting for mama to bring food…. I haven’t heard them in a bit so they must have flown away….

As to Colby, kitty has nothing good in mind for those fishies if you turn away.

I believe that’s papa bird, no? Great photos of the babies. Thanks for sharing and caring.

That’s my sweet, stupid Colby. He’s been staring at the fish for months. His longing baffles and distresses him, because he doesn’t know what to DO about it.

We call him “cheesehead”, because there certainly aren’t any brains in there…

I used to had fish and a cat. Once, during a move, I had transferred the fish from the aquarium to a bowl and put a plate on top. Thirty seconds later the plate was off and the fish were gone! I couldn’t believe how fast and stealthy that cat was!

I love orange cats. I have one too. He was featured here a while back peering over the edge of the bathroom sink.

Orange cats are a separate species.
