Adams Morgan Updates

Lots of folks have been writing in asking about the old gym at 2007 18th Ave. NW (you know the one that had the big ‘Play Hard’ written on the side.) This is the new restaurant/bar called Jack Rose that we learned was coming back in June ’09. But obviously some serious progress has been made. The Post’s om Sietsema says:

“The ground floor will feature a 50-seat dining room and a 52-foot long bar; the second level will fit in a wood-fired barbecue pit, a partially enclosed bar and a small private dining room with its own balcony (you know, for cigar smokers). A basement under the kitchen, described by Hartzer as “speakeasy” in design, will showcase a chef’s tasting room.”

And in other Adams Morgan news – Wok N Roll has opened up at 2400 18 St. NW (at Belmont).

And finally Urban Sustainable garden store has opened up 1787 Columbia Road, NW.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
