View from the Petworth Safeway

I’ve tried to take the above picture a million times but it never comes out as nice as this one from dullshick titled, “View from the Petworth Safeway”.

And below is a great shot of the 9:30 club by owash titled, “The Heart of Saturday Night (2/2)”.

Submit your photos via email or to the PoPville flickr pool here.

The Heart of Saturday Night (2/2)

  • ah
  • I’ve always wondered…why does the 9:30 Club have a radio tower??? It would be dope if they actually did broadcast shows from the club.

    • The building used to be the WUST Radio Music Hall.

isnt that the view from the petworth “cemetary”?

It’s great how you managed to capture the National Cathedral in the background. This picture has a very European feel about it. I kind of expect to see Brian Johnson waltzing out of one of the houses with a bottle under each arm. And that, my friends, is the definition of art.

its striking to me that the chimneys look so tall.

I am under contract for purchasing the first house that appears in this photo (the left most one with the yellow siding – 919 Quincy). My purchase price is 271k. The place does not have ac but it is in pretty good condition. Fellow Petworthians, PLEASE tell me if this a decent price? I’ve been scratching my head so hard that it is about to bleed. Plus, I really can’t afford to gamble. I need your help!

if nothing major turns up in the inspection I’d say you got a great deal. Go for it.
