Reminder: PoP Happy Hour Wed. Night at Looking Glass Lounge

I’ve been inspired by a comment from last week to call this happy hour “Crossing the Line of Decency”. So come and cross the line of decency with me and many of your neighbors from Petworth, Columbia Heights, Mt. Pleasant, Shaw and elsewhere. Looking Glass Lounge, of course, is located at 3634 Georgia Ave NW between Otis and Princeton. It is about a block away from the Petworth metro. General Manager, Dan Searing, has concocted some special mojitos for the event and happy hour prices will go all night long. I will be there at 7pm until at least midnight or until I cross the line of decency whichever comes first. All you t-shirt winners make sure to stop by so you can pick up a shirt. I also have plenty of extra t-shirts (of the classic variety) if anyone wants to pick one up for $10. See you Wed. the 21st.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
