I read somewhere that these old fire boxes where being stolen off the streets, referbished, and sold… like on e-bay. Was that here I read that?

Neighbor – that’s not entirely accurate, and it was channel 7 that covered it (that I’m aware of – there may have been print coverage too).

What it was: some boxes have gone missing. Boxes from other cities have shown up on eBay. Our boxes have not.

Actually, during warmer months, this one usually has a small flower pot in it….but just not in winter.
