A reader wrote to the good folks from metro inquiring about extended Yellow line operation during rush hour. This is the response:
“Thank you for contacting the Yellow-Green Line Team requesting
additional service on the Yellow Line during rush hours. The
request has not yet been approved by the Metro Board of Directors but
we are aware of the success we are having extending service during
non-rush hours. The Office of Planning says at this time we do not have
the additional funding from Maryland, District of Columbia or
Virginia. Your e-mail will be forwarded to the office who makes this
decision.
We are always interested in customer feedback, because it allows us to
improve the quality of our services. We hope this satisfies your
concerns and you will continue to ride Metro in all your business and
pleasure activities.”
Sincerely,
