I would hate to be working the bar tomorrow. So many folks are gonna stiff the tip.

  • A national day for one of the least flavorful cuts of beef? Sure why not.

    • Much as I love a deeply marbled aged ribeye, every once in a while a perfect filet is a nice change up. Must say that I’ve never had a disappointing meal in a Morton’s, ever.

  • I find the marketing thinking behind promotions like this interesting. I assume most of the cheapskates who line up for this aren’t the target audience. Rather, it’s the folks who will go out of their way to avoid Morton’s tomorrow, but think to themselves: “Wow that’s a nice thing to do. I haven’t been to Morton’s in a while and really need to make a visit soon.” My heart goes out to the inevitably stiffed servers as well.

  • I’m dating myself, but 15 or so years ago they were free at happy hour. This brings back fond memories of good friends and delicious happy hours.

Yes! I used to go to Morton’s for the happy hour sandwiches too. One of the best deals in town back then!
