Your Afternoon Animal Fix

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share please shoot me an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. Your photos will go into the queue (usually 3-4 weeks wait) and will be posted in the order I receive them. If you’ve already entered your pet and would like to do so again – that’s no problem – just space the entries out a bit.

I have a Poppy cat that looks like the Poppy above, although she goes by her first name (Lucy) most of the time.

  • Yup Epric002 – Here’s the website I used to plan the get together.

  • Was the “orgi owners” spelling deliberate? 😉

  • Hewson’s an awfully big boy! I think he’s telling you to scram so he can get onto his shavasana in peace.

Poppy is so pretty! (Wish my cat liked her carrier!) Hewson has good form! Corgis!!

  • Poppy liked her carrier less when she was closed in it and at the vet. It’s my first time flying with them (I am sure I will be quite the sight at the airport) but they both seem very mellow and comfortable in the carriers. For cat owners, Poppy weighs 10 lbs and Penny weighs 13 lbs and they are both very comfortable in medium-sized Sherpa carriers. I sprinkled some catnip and tossed a few favorite toys in to acclimate them. I also called ahead to TSA at Dulles to talk through the process, and they were EXTREMELY helpful. Hoping for smooth travels!

I hope that Poppy, Penny, and mom have a good move to California! I was the one who originally rescued Poppy after she was hanging out in the front yard of my apartment building in the heat–I am so glad she ended up in such a loving home! 🙂
