2201 14th Street, NW

From an email:

“Kapnos, Mike Isabella’s young 14th Street Greek restaurant is beginning brunch service this week. Brunch will be served Saturdays and Sundays from 11am-3pm and feature Greek-influenced takes on morning classics like Baklava French Toast and Spit Roasted Chicken and Waffles. The full menu is available  here.

In addition to the new brunch menu, Kapnos has recently opened its patio. The al-fresco space located along W Street adds over three dozen seats to the restaurant.”

When I came home from running errands last night around 8 pm, the patio was bustling and there was a line out the door. I got the lamb sandwich from G the other day and it was to die for.

  • The price of tea seems to be a little bit outrageous, otherwise the menu looks awesome

  • Good food, GREAT cocktails.

I don’t understand the flack that Isabella gets from a lot of the “foodies” is DC. Graffiato is a nice option to have in Chinatown, and Kapnos offers a great menu, as well.
