From a press release:
Today, St. Louis Mayor Francis G. Slay and District of Columbia Mayor Vincent C. Gray announced that they had placed a friendly wager on the outcome of the National League Division Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Washington Nationals.
The Mayors have agreed that, if the Nationals win the series, a special version of the D.C. flag emblazoned with the District’s “Taxation Without Representation” motto will fly over City Hall in downtown St. Louis for a day. Conversely, if the Cardinals take the series, St. Louis’ “three rivers” flag will fly over the District’s John A. Wilson Building (the seat of the Executive Office of the Mayor and the D.C. Council) for a day.

The thought of going to a party like this makes my soul die...
Jesus...whats next. A crosswalk every 6 feet? God forbid someone walk 45 seconds in...
Double dose on your Valtrex before heading there.
Meh. 10 years max before they blow the whole place up and start over. Glad to see one...
I thought it was so that the filtration/poo-germ killing chemicals could catch up.
How about if the Nationals win, DC gets all of St Louis’s votes in Congress for a day? Now that would be worth something.
Blah. That’s pretty bland.
I think a Schlafly and DC Brau exchange would’ve been better.
Agreed, though betting Schlafly is perhaps a sticky subject in St Louis.
